Course Description

This course empowers learners by blending traditional language learning techniques with advanced digital and AI tools to enhance English proficiency for levels A2-B1. By integrating essential language skills with technology, participants gain a solid foundation in English through engaging and efficient methods. As language learning evolves, digital tools and AI offer new ways for learners to access resources, receive real-time feedback, and practice in interactive, real-world contexts.

Throughout the course, participants will use AI platforms like ChatGPT to simulate conversations, practice grammar, build vocabulary, and enhance comprehension. This hands-on experience combines effective language strategies with AI, meeting the needs of modern learners to build confidence and proficiency. The course emphasizes AI’s role in personalized learning, adaptive content organization, and differentiated instruction, allowing participants to craft their own learning paths.

To ensure the right class level, an online test is recommended before joining. Upon completing the course, participants will have developed the following competencies:

Learning Outcomes

The methodologies of the course include:

  • Hands-on workshops to explore AI tools like ChatGPT, language apps, and digital platforms.
  • Guided sessions on using AI for tasks such as generating vocabulary lists, improving grammar, and crafting responses.
  • Language tasks (e.g., writing exercises, conversation practice) using AI as an interactive partner.
  • Practical activities that utilize ChatGPT for generating ideas, refining text, and practicing conversational English.
  • Use of ChatGPT for idea generation, content structuring, or refining language, emphasizing active language use.
  • Use of gamification to make language exercises more engaging, such as quizzes, challenges, or language games incorporating AI

The following assessments will be included throughout the course:

  • Use self-assessment rubrics for language fluency, vocabulary range, grammar accuracy, and comprehension improvement.
  • Short quizzes on vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension, where AI tools are used to analyze responses and provide feedback.
  • Students track improvements in specific areas, aided by AI-based recommendations.
  • Assess presentations based on fluency, grammar, vocabulary use, and the effectiveness of AI as a learning aid.
  • ChatGPT Usage Evaluation:  Evaluate students’ skill in framing prompts, asking questions, and making effective use of AI outputs for language enhancement.
  • AI-Generated Feedback, discussing accuracy, helpfulness, and areas for further improvement.

  • Pula: 21-26 July 2025, 28 July - 2 August 2025, 4-9 August 2025 (6 days, 30 lessons)
Price:Budapest: €430 (5 days), Pula: €510 (6 days) - including an extracurricular activity and a welcome lunch or dinner

*The language of the course is English, linguistic aid may be provided for speakers of Hungarian with lower language abilities.

Conditions

The course complies with all rules as set in the Quality Standards of the Erasmus+ program. Extracurricular activities are in addition to the lessons, and study groups are international. Note: should the latter condition not be met, participants will be informed 40 days in advance.

Payment facilities: participants with funding from the actual year’s project budget may ask to request a deposit of EUR 100 to guarantee their places on the course and pay the rest of the fees later.

It is possible to take part in 2 consecutive courses, please book both separately. A price reduction of 15% will be applied.
