Course Description

The course “Creative Education for a Sustainable Future” aims to provide teachers with the opportunity to integrate the topic of sustainability into their lessons, while applying creative and interactive pedagogical methods. Through this course, participants will be prepared to create inspiring and engaging learning environments for their students by expanding their methodological repertoire.

The course focuses on the principles and challenges of sustainability, while participants are provided with practical tools to develop digital solutions and project-based tasks for the classroom. Teachers can plan personalized learning paths that take into account the individual needs and learning styles of students.

The course places special emphasis on cooperative learning, group work, and maintaining student motivation. This allows teachers to learn how to support their students in collaborative thinking, problem-solving, and fostering engagement with sustainability. The use of experiential approaches and positive reinforcement helps to maintain student motivation throughout the learning process.

The course offers teachers the opportunity to learn new methods and techniques while collaborating with other educators, learning from each other, and sharing experiences and ideas.

As a result of the course, participants will be able to apply sustainable and innovative teaching practices that prepare tomorrow’s learners to tackle global challenges.

Objectives

  • Participants will be able to organize educational processes in the context of sustainability.
  • Teachers will be able to integrate various interactive games and activities into their lessons to increase student engagement and participation.
  • Participants will learn how to use virtual classrooms in teaching to create a flexible learning environment.
  • By using the application “Wordwall,” teachers will be able to create interactive tasks and games that promote active student involvement.
  • Participants will be able to plan personalized learning paths that take into account the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • Teachers will learn methods that promote collaboration between students and collaborative learning in the framework of project-based learning.
  • Participants will learn the benefits of project-based learning and will be able to work on real-world problems.
  • Teachers will learn cooperative techniques that strengthen relationships between students and promote collaborative thinking.
  • Throughout the course, participants will learn strategies to maintain student motivation, including experiential teaching approaches and positive reinforcement. Students’ creative problem-solving skills will be further developed through various interactive and project-based tasks.

Methodology and Assessment

The design of the methodology and assessment for the course “Creative Education for a Sustainable Future” aims at a sustainability-oriented, interactive learning environment that helps teachers apply modern pedagogical approaches. The methodology of the course and the assessment procedures are closely linked because the techniques used in teaching and the assessment tools work together to help achieve the learning objectives.

Dates and Prices

Time:9 AM to 2:30 PM daily (extracurricular activities outside of learning activities)
Dates:Budapest: 14-18 July 2025 (5 days, 25 lessons)
Price:€430 (5 days) - including an extracurricular activity and a welcome lunch or dinner

*The language of the course is English, linguistic aid may be provided for speakers of Hungarian with lower language abilities.

Conditions

The course complies with all rules as set in the Quality Standards of the Erasmus+ program. Courses are including an extracurricular cultural activity and a welcome lunch or dinner, and study groups are international. Note: should the latter condition not be met, participants will be informed 40 days in advance.

Payment facilities: participants with funding from the actual year’s project budget may ask to request a deposit of EUR 100 to guarantee their places on the course and pay the rest of the fees later.

It is possible to take part in 2 consecutive courses, please book both separately. A price reduction of 15% will be applied.
